Third Times the Charm!

This is how I am surviving an ex-wife, an ex-girlfriend, 2 step-kids and 2 mother-in-laws without going insane... yet

Made it through January!

Well we made it!
January has come to a close, Lucas is about to go to days, which is GREAT!
We are living in out own place, decorated it the way we want it
Ally is growing up so fast!! She running around talking and trying to have conversations.

Medically though, I have run into something, I have to make some decisions about if we are going to have another child or not, I have some time, but its still kinda scary

Nothing much to report with the in-laws, haven't see Lucas' parents since Christmas, I talk to his mom almost every week.

My parents just had us to their house for the weekend and it was WONDERFUL, had a great time celebrating my niece's birthday with everyone.

The New Year has BEGUN

Well, my sister apologized, but there is still some hurt feelings there. Lucas has done nothing to me to earn the label of "cheater". (We have been together almost 5 years)
An argument was started between my mother in law, Lauren, and my husband on Zoey's birthday. Poor girl, she cried her eyes out that her birthday was ruined. (needless to mention my MIL brought over her dogs without asking and I was already a bit POed)
My husband and her are arguing about the final bills she left us when she moved out.
I have refused to get in the middle of it, although she is trying to drag me into by sending him emails with me CC.

I have used my massive shopper skills to get us 2 weeks of food for about $60. Budgeting is something I never really had to learn growing up, we had money and my mom was always buying special things for us.
I had a job, but I never had my own bills until I was almost graduating from college.

I'm pretty proud of what I can do now, I can whip up good food from just a few ingredients and I can make 2+ weeks of food from about $60.

Lucas and I get crazy sometimes with money, and we know it, we treat ourselves too much and it gets us into trouble, but, the kids have never gone hungry or gone without diapers. That is where we draw the line.

I'm happy to say we are no longer on government assistance, we were on WIC while I was pregnant and right up until Ally turned 1, and then I didn't go to my appointment to get my next set of checks, and we have just gone with it and made due

Its REALLY hard... but... I think we can make it as soon as subbing and tutoring picks up again.

Lucas starts working days again soon, which will be really nice, then I get him back for nights.

Well. Thats about it for now :-)
